About
Locuorio is one person and a pair of headphones.
Independent producer, songwriter and mixing engineer. Italian by ear, quiet by preference — and responsible for every note on this site.
The project
Locuorio started as a way to give voice to everything that crosses my mind. Sometimes that means an idea that makes people laugh, sometimes a track that just wants a room to move, and sometimes a piece that exists only to make the next forty minutes softer. All of it comes from real moments — the kind that mix irony, emotion and rhythm rather than picking one.
That is why the catalogue looks split at first glance. On one side: hours of ambient, written for massage therapists, spa treatment rooms and people who cannot sleep. On the other: house and dance records, and songs in English and Italian that wander into pop, rock and rap depending on what the idea needs. I have never seen the point of picking a lane — music is one thing, and it is worth understanding all of it.
They are the same instinct in two tempos. Both start from harmony. Both leave more space than they fill. Both are made by one person, in one room, without a label deciding what fits.
How the music is made
Chords first — always. A piece usually exists as a two-bar harmonic idea long before it has a rhythm, and if that idea does not hold up played once on a keyboard, no amount of production saves it. From there it grows outward: pads, low end, texture, and only at the very end anything you would call a beat.
Then it gets stripped back. The single biggest difference between a track that works in a treatment room and one that does not is how much has been removed. Every layer is asked the same question — if this disappeared, would anyone miss it? — and most of them fail.
Everything is written, produced, mixed and mastered independently. There is no team, which means there is no committee, which means the music sounds like a person rather than a focus group.
Where it ends up
Massage therapists and spas use the Massage Jasmine suites through full working days. Bars, hotels and terraces run LOUNGE from aperitivo to closing. People with insomnia use the Deep Sleep Suite on a timer. And a smaller, louder group comes for the house records and the songs.
None of that happened through advertising. It happened because someone saved a playlist and someone else found it. Which is, honestly, the whole business model.
Use it however you want
I do not ask anyone for permission fees. Spas, hotels, salons, studios, film-makers, podcasters, streamers: play it. The only thing I ask is that it comes from an official platform, or from a copy you bought on iTunes or Amazon Music. That is the whole arrangement, and there is nobody to email about it.
What I am always up for: collaborations, remixes, custom-length sets and pieces written for a specific room or film. That part goes through me directly, not through a publisher, so answers are fast and terms are human.
